Idea board for a nursery: Boy's edition

No, this is not for me. Really! I do not have a bun in the oven. But I have several friends who do!!! And since I love design and come across all kinds of cute kid stuff on my interweb travels, I thought I would try to do one of these idea boards that I see on a number of blogs. I didn't include furniture...just textiles and room decor. This one is focused around this super adorable owl quilt. Although I think you could have this quilt in either a girl's or a boy's room, this is my idea board for a little boy's room:

Here are the links:

I think the chocolate brown and yellow make it seem grown-up but the overall look is still kid-like. It's the kind of design that I think would grow with a kiddo.

Stay tuned for the girl's edition. It's sure to be very girly indeed!

  1. love it! I'm looking forward to seeing the girls edition! I've kinda resigned myself to the fact that I'll have to wait till after baby is born to decorate for the most part as we don't know if it's a boy or girl and don't really wanna do a gender neutral theme! (I just love pink too much to not have pink in the theme if we have a girl!)
