Beautiful necklace

I regularly read a blog written by a girl who lives in England called junkaholique. She designs jewelry and also blogs about her life (stuff like her home, travels, flea market finds, and her fantastic cat Plimsoll). She's married to a guy who is from Japan and his hometown was one of the hardest hit by the earthquake/tsunami disaster.

I was so sad to read her posts soon after the disaster when they were unsure about the safety of his family. It turned out that his family was safe but the town was truly devastated. His mom works as a teacher for children with autism and they are raising money to help rebuild the school. It's so great that they designed this 'Sakura' necklace with 100% of the proceeds going to the school:

So pretty. I am really going to have to order one. Since I began reading her blog over the past year or so, I've been so tempted to order other jewelry that they have made. If you have time, you should check out their site Rust (I love the quill ring, the heart locket that is engraved 'to the stars', and their engraved wedding rings are simply stunning - there's a separate webpage for those).

You can also get the necklace with a black pearl:

Or a white pearl:

I hope they sell tons because every extra bit of money sure will help the school. I can barely fathom that it's not just one school that needs rebuilding, but entire towns.
